Assess
A meta-directory that aggregates MCP server listings from Glama, PulseMCP, and the official registry into one place.
Why It Matters
MCP Servers Hub (github.com/apappascs/mcp-servers-hub) is a community-maintained aggregator that pulls data from multiple sources and enriches it with GitHub stats. Auto-updated daily, it gives you a single view across registries without manually cross-referencing. Useful for research and comparison, but not a primary source.
Strengths
- Aggregates across Glama, PulseMCP, and the official registry
- Enriched with GitHub stars, forks, and activity metrics
- Auto-updated daily — minimal maintenance overhead
- Open-source and easy to fork for custom filtering
Limitations
- Derivative data — only as good as its upstream sources
- No hosting, install tooling, or management features
- Community-maintained with no organizational backing
Risks
- Single maintainer — bus factor of one; if they lose interest, the daily updates stop
- Aggregating GitHub stats creates a false quality signal: stars and forks don't mean a server is secure or maintained
- No deduplication logic means the same server can appear multiple times from different sources
- It's a GitHub README, not a product — no API, no search, no filtering beyond Ctrl+F
